Costas Symiakakis - I was born in Heraklion Crete, Greece in1959 and I studied psychology in Athens. I took my masters degree in Marriage and Family Psychotherapy from the University of Bridgeport in the United States in1986. I work as a private practitioner in Heraklion-Crete. I have a daughter and a son. I am an amateur art photographer. I started to photograph at the age of eight with a toy camera and I shoot ever since. My major interest is photographing people. I have spent innumerous hours in the darkroom. It is only since 2010 that “ I gave retirement ” to my old manual SLR and got into the digital abyss. Member of the : “ Hellenic Photographic Society of Crete” (HPSC), “ International Federation of Photographic Art” (FIAP), “United Photographers International” (UPI), “Photographic Society of America” (PSA). I have got the photographic tiles: EFIAP, UPI CR2, UPI HERMES, PSA*4 PID, and I was invited to be a part of a jury group into two International Photographic Circuits.
