Curriculum
Steeve Philip DUBOIS - EFIAP, ECAP, Hon PESGSPC , ESCAP
Secondary studies at the Royal College Port Louis (RCPL).
1979 Started photography seriously when a photographic society was set up at the RCPL.
1982 Awarded a Diploma in Journalism & Professional Writing by the Trans-World Tutorial College, Jersey.
1985 Followed a three-month course in Photography Training at the Galerie d’Art de Port Louis.
Joined the Cercle des Artistes Photographes (then Association del’Art Photographique de l’Ile Maurice, AAPIM).
Actively involved in the club’s activities.
1986 Became member of the Executive Committee of the club.
Achieved the Gold Award in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.
1987 Became Vice-President of the club.
1988 Became President of the club and held office until end of 1997.
Awarded a Teacher’s Certificate (Primary) - General Purpose after completion of related studies

1990 Conducted a Basic Course in Photography at the Flacq Youth Centre.
1991 Followed a course in Television Production Techniques conducted by Sender Freies Berlin, Television Training Centre.
Left the teaching profession and assumed duty at the Mauritius
Broadcasting Corporation as cameraman until end of 1993.
1992 Conducted a 13-week Photography course on television on behalf of the Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation.
1994 Joined an advertising agency as Photographer.
1996 Participated in a training programme on Film & TV Direction and Production, organised by the Mauritius Film Development Corporation, Ministry of Arts, Culture & Leisure and the Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation.
1999 After a one-year leave, became President of the Cercle des Artistes Photographes again (holding office till end of 2008).
2000 Moved from the Photographic department to the Graphic Design department within the same advertising agency.
2001 End of July, took employment in another advertising agency as Copywriter.
2002 End of February, started working as Photographer / Graphic Artist on a freelance basis.
2003 Solo photo exhibition “Le Regard Libre” at the municipal theatre, Port Louis (July 2003).
2006 Conducted a Training Course in Photography at the Centre de Formation Artistique, Paillote, Vacoas, on behalf of the Ministry of Arts and Culture (May to June 2006)
2009 Holds the post of Vice-President of the club.
Solo photo exhibition “Retour aux Sources : La Magie du Noir et Blanc”, at the Caudan Waterfront, Port-Louis, in July.
2010 Elected as President of the C. A. P.
Solo photo exhibition “W.O.R.K. : Il n’y a pas de sot métier”, at the Caudan Waterfront, Port-Louis, in July.
2011 Elected as President of the C. A. P.
