Bruno Cherubini was born on September 6, 1952 in Foligno (Perugia), Italy, same city where he currently lives. His early starts in photography were around late 60s. As many other boys of his age, he begun with several reportages, trying through them to be a witness of the changing times. In few years, he gained a deep experience in photographic filming and in the darkroom, developing and printing B/W and color images, using Ilfochrome (Cibachrome) processing. During a long break in his photographic activity due to his profession, he still continued to take photos during his travels and he produced cross-fading multimedia works. Starting by 2001, with the rapid development of digital photography, he returned actively to his photographic activity, printing personally his B/W and color works. Since 2002, he is a member of DLF Fotoclub in Foligno, in which he hold several courses of digital photography and digital photo retouching. Since 2003, he is a FIAF (Italian Federation of the Photographic Associations) member and he is competing in national and international contests with good success, being awarded more than one hundred times so far. In March 2007, thanks to his production, he was awarded as FIAF AFI (Artist of the Italian Photography). In February 2015, he received FIAP AFIAP award. Along his career, he was author of several exhibitions held in different Italian cities and his photos have been selected for various books and published in several photographic reviews. |
